State Budget 2018
The Victorian State Budget 2018 included an investment of $500,000 over two years to support enhanced capacity and capability development in the volunteering sector through leadership training and application of technology. These activities will implement a number of key initiatives outlined in the Strategic Priorities of the Ministerial Council for Volunteers.
Call for submissions - Volunteering digital literacy and technology readiness
The State Budget investment includes delivery of a ‘Volunteering digital literacy and technology readiness’ program for small to medium-sized volunteer involving organisations. The program aims to assist organisations in improving their capacity to adopt, and effectively apply, digital and technological approaches in supporting and building their volunteer workforce.
Submissions are sought from companies and organisations that either have experience in delivering activities aimed at improving digital literacy and technology readiness, or that have volunteers as a significant part of their service delivery workforce.
Submissions close 2:00pm, Thursday 11 October 2018.

Training and mentoring for managers of volunteers
Volunteer support organisations have been invited to submit proposals for the 2018-19 funding round of the 'training and mentoring program for managers of volunteers'.
The program aims to support access to professional development opportunities for managers of volunteers, and encourage broader implementation of best-practice management approaches in line with the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement.
