migrant student mentor
Opportunity description
A volunteer Mentor will support a migrant student at year 8 in group activities and one on one. Students are from Casey and Greater Dandenong schools.
Mentors will spend up to 2hrs pw over 6 months during school or straight after school
Mentors will support students in their career exploration of education, training and employment options, and develop a trusting relationship with the young person

Our volunteer mentors come from all walks of life and many are migrants or refugees themselves.
We invite tertiary students, business, and community individuals to volunteer their time to our students.
Our students require understanding and support to explore the opportunities within the Australian education system. Mentors offer an opportunity to empower students to develop career pathways and gain confidence and self esteem.
