Opportunity description

Hallam Community Centre provides a place where the local community can meet, communicate and develop skills, pathways and learn in friendly supportive surroundings.

We are an after-school learning support program (Tuesdays and Thursdays) for secondary Students from multicultural backgrounds. The program times are from 3.30pm to 6.00pm on both days.

We are currently recruiting a small team of Volunteers, who will have a variety of skills and qualities, and who have a commitment to helping these young people overcome some of the language and social disadvantage they face. Help with Maths,Science and English is the top priority.

Induction and training

No previous experience required, as induction will be provided. Must be willing to undertake a Working with Children check. A Working with Children check must be applied for before commencing, as well as attendance at an Induction session.
