New training opportunities for community groups
17 February 2012 – Our Community have released their training program for the next six months with a focus on writing successful grant applications and building a strong board.
Our Community provides advice, tools and training for community groups and schools, and encourages practical linkages between the community sector and the general public, business and government.
The following courses are being run across Australia, with these dates for Melbourne sessions:
- Introduction to writing winning grant applications – Friday 2 March
- Strategies for sustainable funding – Friday 2 March
- Advanced grant writing – Friday 9 March
- Secrets of successful boards – Friday 16 March or Monday 14 May
- Women achieving and flourishing – Tuesday 1 May
- Women leaders: taking the next steps – Wednesday 2 May
- Diploma of Management 19–23 March or 18–22 June
- Certificate IV in Governance – for community boards – 15–18 May
- Communities in Control Conference 2012 – 28–29 May
